Giraffe Print
I love giraffes. Probably I have the craziest giraffe story but this animal made an impact in my life since 2006. I remember, I attended a camp with the theme “GIANTS” and during the camp I realized that for how many years I considered myself an “Ant”. Whenever there is a seminar and this common question is asked (If you were an animal what would it be?) I always answer I’d rather be an ant considering that ants are hardworking and industrious despite their size. I have this ant mentality for how many years. I was inferior. I was convicted and awakened during the 3-day camp when I learned that God designed each individual He created to be “GIANTS”. He wanted the best for them. To be giants when problem comes. Giants when temptations appear. Giants when waves are crashing. And giants to make decisions to do what is right.
Well… I really love giraffes. They are giant animals. I have four giraffe collectibles with me. Most visible is the giraffe print on my new t-shirt. Whenever I see them I’m reminded of the camp I attended.
One thing, even though giraffes are tall, they are also the kind of animal who kneels. Notice them when they drink water.
Giants yet humble animals.

The Gospel is NOT for Christians.
We are loaded with so many activities but it’s sad to know that majority of them are designed for Christians. We are always presenting this what we call Good News but we are not willing to share them to those who need to hear them. The fact about the Good News is that they are for those who are in need and not for Christians already. A medicine is for those who are sick and not for those who don’t have sickness. If we want to make the most of our knowledge with the Gospel, we must consider reaching those who are poor, sick, in prison, blind and oppressed. (Luke 4:18 NKJV)
The Monkey and the Fish is a book about being a third-culture Church. Dave Gibbons explains very well in this book why churches should reach out the what we call misfits of the society. This books tells that the best ministry is based on pain and suffering. This is definitely the best platform in ministry!
Pasa Love Part 2 on Region 1 Medical Center, Dagupan City will be on July 23,2010. The project will start 3:00 in the afternoon. This will be a Feeding Program - a great opportunity to once again show love to our fellowmen. This time several churches will come in collaboration with us. Come and feel the excitement of Serving God by Serving the Community!
Our Coffee Shop is coming up this August 2010 that will give coffee lovers a friendly place to stay and unwind. There will be free flowing brewed coffee accompanied with good message, cool sounds, great ambiance and warm conversation.
Blogging Conference for churches is dated tentatively on October 2010. We will offer free tips and ideas on how to use blogging as ministry. We believe Christian Bloggers can do more than just writing personal stuffs. They can use their writings as a way of reaching out lost people and help promote their church activities.
i do not have recollections of my giraffe memories. i may have not remember any more of it, but i know i have met those giants.
every time i would scan my photo album, i would always stop for some seconds on the part where we are at the manila zoo. i was holding a stem of veggies then and the giraffe is on the act of eating those.
i don’t know what its called, yes, i do not remember those giants..
but i’ve been with them.
its like entering a magical kingdom and the moment you left that world, you have no memories of what had happened.
but it felt darn magical.
great childhood experience Ax and in my most breaking moments I always stand up and look at my giraffe collections and remember that God designed me to be a giant that overcomes dwarf problems. Thanks for a nice comment.
Hi Orville,
Ang gandang experience & memories…thanks for sharing.
Teka pinag-isip mo tuloy ako ng ‘animal experience ko or favorite’…ummm teka…siguro zebra or basta horse…gusto ko yung print sa zebra skin.
Gusto ko itong sinabi mo….”Giants yet humble “…gusto ko ganito rin sana ang ugali ng lahat ng powerful, rich, influential people….sigurado walang gulo…very peaceful.
Ingat & God Bless! Maligayang Pasko!
Thanks super lolo. Nakakatuwa nga po kasi medyo weirdo na giraffe ang favorite animal q. Hehe, ganda rn po ng mga zebra. Lalo ung kulay nla. Very unique. Thanks s c0mment. God bless u po. Merry Christmas dn po..
As a supplement to that, many times does a man think that he needs to strive to become a giant. His view of being a giant means power, wealth, territory etc. In reality,he fails to see the fact that he is already one, and is also deprived of knowing that being a giant is something that cannot be seen nor touched. In short, being a giant is a matter of how a man perceives himself and what his concept of being a giant is. Furthermore, power, wealth, territory or any other luxuries in life are only manifestations of the inside giant in a man. He just have to remember that everything starts in the inside. Thus, how a person see himself is very relevant, Christian or not.
Thanks for this one. Less expectation on ourselves will push us to less actions and less results.
giraffe may have the longest neck, but i read somewhere that they have small brain?!
very nice realizations.
its always fulfilling when we know and realize that we have the power and courage to be giants in our own rights.
never seen a giraffe upclose but i think they’re nice creatures.
hehehe
that makes them humble and do the kneeling…
hehe.. thanks blu.sparks. i’ve never seen a real giraffe and it’s always a living desire for me to see one… hehehe… maybe if i have time to visit the zoo or given a chance to glance their sanctuary on other countries.. hehehe.. i really love these animals..
