Again…
Rain was falling. God maybe was not impressed with our preparations. Maybe our hearts were not that ready to stand and say our testimonies in front of the crowd. I asked myself, “Do I have a good testimony to say?”
Will they believe me when I say that I’ve changed for the better? Apparently there were doubts in my heart and these were depicted by the way I pinched my eyes. I was not that happy and my excitement turned upside down. The only thing that cheered me up was the giraffe drawn on my new black t-shirt. Suddenly the rain stopped but it was still drizzling. The clock struck at 5 and I needed to go, never minding the drizzle and the streaky things in the sky. After a short walk, I’ve noticed the lonely hall full of empty arranged chairs. I prayed, “ God please stop the rain and bring them here so that they could see what we have prepared.” Suddenly a thought came into my mind and made me remember the line Wayne Cordeiro told on his story, “You are so concerned with the absence of the rain rather than the presence of God.” And I was awaken in my deepest sleep and said to myself “Here I am again claiming the things that are supposed to be for God.” I repented.
Suddenly little by little the rain stopped and people were arriving, never thinking of the muddy sidewalks. They came from different places and I really didn’t care about their ages. The program continued and last thing I knew I was facing a crowd of more than a hundred and fifty.
Well, sometimes I don’t have much faith and I try to blame God for not cooperating and appreciating my efforts.
I’m sorry my Lord.

The Gospel is NOT for Christians.
We are loaded with so many activities but it’s sad to know that majority of them are designed for Christians. We are always presenting this what we call Good News but we are not willing to share them to those who need to hear them. The fact about the Good News is that they are for those who are in need and not for Christians already. A medicine is for those who are sick and not for those who don’t have sickness. If we want to make the most of our knowledge with the Gospel, we must consider reaching those who are poor, sick, in prison, blind and oppressed. (Luke 4:18 NKJV)
The Monkey and the Fish is a book about being a third-culture Church. Dave Gibbons explains very well in this book why churches should reach out the what we call misfits of the society. This books tells that the best ministry is based on pain and suffering. This is definitely the best platform in ministry!
Pasa Love Part 2 on Region 1 Medical Center, Dagupan City will be on July 23,2010. The project will start 3:00 in the afternoon. This will be a Feeding Program - a great opportunity to once again show love to our fellowmen. This time several churches will come in collaboration with us. Come and feel the excitement of Serving God by Serving the Community!
Our Coffee Shop is coming up this August 2010 that will give coffee lovers a friendly place to stay and unwind. There will be free flowing brewed coffee accompanied with good message, cool sounds, great ambiance and warm conversation.
Blogging Conference for churches is dated tentatively on October 2010. We will offer free tips and ideas on how to use blogging as ministry. We believe Christian Bloggers can do more than just writing personal stuffs. They can use their writings as a way of reaching out lost people and help promote their church activities.
Nice posting Orville, I can feel your honesty. Yes, looking at life with your half-full glasses is much better than looking with your half-empty glasses (:
